Our last class was filled with valuable leadership lessons that are so important to all the students now armed with MBA’s and off to very responsible positions with major companies.
We had the pleasure of having Jennifer Cohen the University of Washington’s incredible Athletic Director. Jen is an entertaining and gifted speaker that sent a real message with her Six P’s of Leadership. She’s also talked about the culture she has created in describing how she manages her large complicated organization. (270 Employees 22 Teams and 15 Administrative units) $127M in Revenue.
Jen’s enthusiastic speaking style, her direct and forthright communication energized the entire class. The Q and A portion of the class was longer than most classes but was incredibly informative and enthusiastically received.
She got a standing ovation and richly deserved.
The school year and our class wouldn’t be complete without a quarter and year-end party as we all adjourned to a local sports bar. A good time was had by all especially yours truly.
The 10 weeks of class were filled with fantastic speakers, student presentations, and wonderful class interaction. The students came from all over the US and Asia and are off to major positions with a variety of big companies all over the US. The good news for Seattle a lot are staying here to work for Amazon, Microsoft, Starbucks, Google, Boeing, Intel, T-Mobile, Deloitte, PWC, Salesforce and Goldman Sachs to name a few. We even assisted in spawning a couple of startups.
It was a special group that Eileen and I really enjoyed.
What a great year!
