As a venture capitalist in Silicon Valley, I get a lot of questions about what it takes to be successful.  But to me, success isn’t just about the career you choose, how much money you make or if you take a company to great heights.  Success is about living a truly fulfilling life.  I will offer some tips on corporate success in this blog, but I want to start off with the bigger picture – how to live a life that is fulfilled.  In my experience, you need to do three things:

1)      Do something that scares you

2)      Be willing to change course

3)      Give back

I recently was honored to give the commencement speech to the 2012 graduating class of the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.  In my speech, I talk about the keys to a fulfilling life.  You can watch the video here.  Let me know your secrets to a fulfilling life.  Agree?  Or Disagree?
